TONIGHT— New York, 1920

Hear Jennifer, Antoine and myself revisit the 1920s on original instruments rarely heard in concert.

Most Early Music enthusiasts would probably trade anything to hear a glimpse of what the composers and performers of the pre-gramophone really sounded like. But the truth is, even with recorded performances from the era of New York, 1920, we can't say for certain "what it was" at all. That's because primary and secondary sources, as invaluable as they are, only tell part of the story. The instruments, music, sources, and anecdotes both confirm and contradict, and in the end, there is multiplicity to authenticity.

Hope to see you there ! — at Jeunesses Musicales Canada.
